April 2008

Thoroughly Depressed.

Saw China Blue at Augustana this evening. Saw King Corn a few weekends ago at the Unitarian church in Davenport. I cannot clothe myself without oppressing people, and most of the food available to the average American consumer is poisonous. Great. Oh, and the Arctic could be ice-free in the summer by 2080. Good night!

Pigs Seen Flying, -30F in Hell Today

I never thought I’d see this day – Charles is actually going to see a doctor about his sinuses, instead of forking over some non-trivial fraction of our income on useless OTC alleged “remedies.”

Tenure – DENIED

Well it’s final. My friend’s husband is not even going to get to appeal. So unless he can find a job in this area, they will be out of here by the end of the next school year at the latest. That is a big bummer. Another family that attends my work church is leaving for greener employment pastures elsewhere this summer, leaving the the percentage of crazy Sunday School people at my work church at a solid 100% now. Sigh.
