Raving Loonie Lefty

I signed up on John Kerry’s website today. Who knows, that person knocking on your door in a few months could be ME. (Well, probably not – I’m way too shy for that sort of thing, and not remotely a decent debater). I’ve been reading political blogs, and my brain feels like little spikes of energy are shooting along all the neural pathways – the fury, the fury. Our country is being run by thugs. Stupid, greedy criminals.

Epiphany

I just realized today why I don’t like reading “regular” fiction, seeing “regular” movies, watching most TV shows, etc etc – it’s all just too contrived, and the contrivedness stands out so much from the everyday surroundings. But Science Fiction, Fantasy, comedy, it’s contrived from the very start (esp. the SF / Fantasy stuff) so the contrived stuff about the people sort of gets lost among the rest of it all (contrivations? contrivedness? what?). Maybe not much of a revelation for you, but I certainly found it interesting.
