A Slow Day in the Lab

Can you tell that I’m at work, and, oh, somewhat bored? I have started an hourly body count, so that my boss can justify reducing the Saturday hours next year. Whoo hoo! I could actually spend part of Saturday in the fall and spring playing with my kiddies! WHAT a concept.

Maybe I’m Biased…

…but my kids are funny. My son wants to be a dictator (I admit, this idea did not originate with him, but when it was explained what a dictator was, he was immediately attracted to the idea) but is still working on how he is supposed to get an army (“Can I buy one at the roshy store?”). My husband used to mock me and my Palm. With reason, sometimes, I must add – it’s hard for Palm to remind me of something if I don’t put it in there in the first place. But this is true of any sort of calendar or reminder system. But guess who spent a loooooong time this morning playing Space Wars on a Palm?? Hm? Who could it be?? Bwa ha ha ….

Serial Sickness

Oh the misery. Everyone in our family has been sick for the past two weeks. Time is a blur. The computer screen is a blur. Even, at times, my new Sony CLIE screen is a blur. But at least I figured out how to turn down the screen backlight, thereby reducing battery consumption by orders of magnitude. And I scoff back at the Best Buy chick who told me Sony would “never” discontinue the SJ30 – mere days after my purchase, it vanished from Sony’s web site. Ha to you!
